The Speaker of the British House of Commons, John Bercow, delivered a speech to the Hansard Society about “Designing a Parliament for the 21st Century”. In his speech, Bercow announces the creation of a new Speaker’s Commission on Digital Democracy to review and make recommendations on what he calls “nothing less than a Parliament version 2.0.” The full text is available from the Hansard Society.

The Township of Langley, British Columbia launched a new budget consultation at budgetfeedback.tol.ca, following the success of their first Citizen Budget consultation in January. This deployment is the first to provide residents with a summary of their budget choices, before they submit the questionnaire.
